Happy Friday and happy long weekend. Also, we took a short breather last week. We're back, and Langley kept things interesting while we were gone, kind of like leaving your kids alone for five minutes :)

Our neighbour hosted the BMO Vancouver Marathon this past weekend with 18,000 runners tackling the course in very warm conditions. If you ran it, congratulations. A grey whale showed up off Kits Beach this weekend. Did you know grey whales make one of the longest migrations of any mammal on earth, travelling up to 14,000 miles from Baja California all the way up the BC coast each spring? Some of them pass right through our stretch of the Fraser Valley on the way north. Spring really is something special out here.

A BC woman recently discovered her "vintage" thrift store painting was actually worth $75,000 after an appraiser recognized it as a lost work by Canadian Group of Seven artist A.Y. Jackson. She paid $4 for it. Her neighbour paid $4 for a lamp that still doesn't work.Anyway, let's get into it.
